According to the apostle John, ‘We know that we have passed from death to life when we love the brethren’. 1 John 3:14. Quite simply, we know we have eternal life when we love one another. Using the imagery of a ship’s voyage, this book describes the journey of Christian life. The ‘passage over’ to a sincere and fervent love of the brethren is a troubled strait indeed.
